What to do in Copenhagen

Have you heard that Lonely Planet have declared Copenhagen as the number 1 travel destination for 2019? And I can understand why!

This cute and safe Scandinavian city is the best place in Europe to spend a long weekend and I will help you with how to best optimize your Copenhagen weekend cool

Where to stay: AirBnB is a great option. If you prefer hotels - For low budget, try the new super sleek hostel Steelhouse Copenhagen. If you want to go mid-budget then try Absalon Hotel right behind the main central station - great location!

What to see: Sightseeing:  Go for a guided Segway tour with Segway Cruise Copenhagen - it is such a fun way to see the city and you'll stay in tune with the green lifestyle Copenhagen offers. Segway Cruise Copenhagen is an authorised Segway Tour so you are in safe hands and their routes are great. The 2-hour tour is a great way to get to know Copenhagen and get familiarized with the city on your first day. You cover a lot of ground in no time, and really get to know the city in a unique and fun way cool

Where to eat: Copenhagen is one of the city's in Europe with most michelin star restaurants. There is of course Noma or Amass. You also have great low cost options like DOP (the organic hot dog stand) or Torvehallerne or Reffen (some really cool food markets). You can't go to Denmark without trying a bakery; AMAZING!! So try Lagkagehuset, Emmery's, or any street-corner bakery you find - trust me when I say there are no bad options.

Coffee - did you know that the Danes are some of the most coffee drinking people? It's tradition to always take a coffee break. There are great coffee bars all over Copenhagen - be aware though; a cappucino is really expensive in Denmark. I can recommend Resso Coffee Bar or Emmerys.

Now time for shopping! The main two shopping centers are Illum and Magasin. 'Stroget' is the main pedestrian shopping street and is one of the longest in Europe. If you however want to get off the beaten path then go to the Latin Quarter and roam around 'straederne'.

Tivoli amusement park is of course a must-see - even if you're not into rides, this is a magical place with michelin star restaurants and charm.

So I hope I have given you some ideas of what to do in Copenhagen :)
