The video-based observation framework would help the operations department at Toll plazas to manage the traffic at their ambit. It would get the NHAI with subtle elements relating to the volume of movement making it to act in like manner. Top notch cameras would be installed at the Toll squares to click stamp sized pictures and send them to the server at regular intervals (30 Minutes), which would relay the same to the territorial branches of NHAI and central command of NHAI. Aspects like vehicular traffic pattern and density would be observed through this framework, thus making it easy for the operators and authorities respond to the actionable data and information. As this framework is new to India, soon, the NHAI would make an agreement with the Korea Expressway Corporation, through which the NHAI is hoping to actualize this framework at a quick pace.
The Korea Expressway Corporation, which has a good record in managing vehicular traffic related issues, has been picked by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for its mastery and proven administrative feats. The company has its operational centre in Korea from which it has been dealing with the traffic related issues of the whole Korean roadway network.
